One could say, that the online world is full of noise, because of the sheer volume of content we generate. The Internet in real-time tells us how quickly data is generated. As we were thinking this through, as a startup ourselves, I had a few thoughts that most startups may go through in terms of branding. What was our imagination as a brand? As we gained experience working with clients and learning the ropes of the business, how did we see ourselves? Seeing the world through rose tinted glasses then, took a brand new turn. What inspired us to create the red fancy glasses as our Brandanew logo? How do you select the frame you will see the world with?
How to Choose Branding Elements & a Logo for Your Brand

1. We do we feel best in?
One inspiration came via Levo League who ran a series of articles on women entrepreneurs/ achievers and a content series aptly named “beyond the pencil skirt“. When you look the part, all else falls into place. It can’t be more true of a brand. Wearing those red colored glasses added funk to us. Who can miss that red Ferrari ever?
2. Who are we targeting?
Another inspiration came from an advert on TV. My husband look at an advert and said, “this is the Audi font“. It stuck to my memory. A font could be a reminder of a brand and generate recall. Most web designers will tell you it’s important to stick to a single brand font. It immediately meant that we found our Brandanew font (we choose the Roboto family in our case, but you can see what your brand feels the most comforted with). Should it look professional or should it generate warmth, should it be designed for the executive audience or are you targeting children- all these questions need to be answered before you choose.
3. What do we do?
As a startup, this question was critical. What value did we provide our clients? From our name itself, Brandanew enables brands to change the way they create content and focus on originality and uniqueness of brand experience. To make the world look and feel better. More engaged, more authentic and more human. So that, our clients, could see the world through the rose tinted glasses and be creators. And differentiate their brands away from the existing noise. It all starts with the frame you choose to hold.
